Red Beach
Our centre philosophy is inspired by RIE Educare and Reggio Emilia approaches to teaching.
We aim to provide a calm, natural and home-like environment rich in open-ended resources and experiences that will engage children and extend their learning and development. We use a lot of wooden, reflective, and natural resources in our set ups as these real objects have different shapes and textures and their open-ended nature provides limitless possibilities for exploration to enhance children's sensory development and imagination.
We understand the value of nutrition in a child's formative years, and offer our infants a seasonal whole foods menu, free from refined sugar and unnecessary additives.

About the Nurture group-
We are a family owned and operated early learning centre, fondly referred to as the 'Pear Centre' by the children in our community. We have an excellent reputation within the Red Beach community. And a dedicated yet fun bunch of teachers who pride ourselves on offering intentional education for the children in our care.
We strongly believe in honnoring our teachers' interests and passions as much as the children's. Many of us are involved in a range of extra curricular activities, that we creatively weave into our curriculum and professional development- like nutrition, rugby, yoga, psychology, te reo and tikanga Māori, board game clubs,, guitar, the list goes on...
The team thrives under the mentorship and guidance of our Group Curriculum Leader, who constantly supports us with our curriculum planning and offering professional development to match the teachers’ individual needs and interests.
We value consistency, and have our own pool of qualified and unqualified relievers who are very much part of our team. They know our values and routines which is so beneficial for both the teaching team and our tamariki.
Full Pay Parity centre andbirthday leave. We have a wellness programme to ensure we take care of our team and our team buildings and parties are the BEST!!
This is my 11th year with my Nurture whānau, and I am now seeing three generations come through to join our extended family. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to grow by leaps and bounds as an educator and as a person.
